CBP Publishes Final Rule to Remove Exception to Prohibit Import of Goods Made with Forced Labor

In a final rule removing an exemption allowing for the importation of merchandise produced with forced labor if goods were not produced in sufficient quantities domestically, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on June 8, 2017 clarified it has been enforcing the entirety of a ban on forced labor-produced goods since its effective date on March 10, 2016.
