Netherlands Latest in Long Line of Countries Addressing Human Rights Concerns

In an effort to prevent child labor in supply chains of companies selling to Dutch consumers, the Netherlands on May 14, 2019 passed the long-awaited Child Labor Due Diligence Law.

The Dutch join the United States, which passed measures on the federal and state level, and the U.K. with its passage in 2015 of the U.K. Modern Slavery Act. To read further about laws addressing human rights concerns in the private sector, click here.
